GEORGE A. LEGGETT
As the cliché goes; George A. Leggett always wanted to be an author—to hold his book in his hands. That’s the dream, isn’t it? So, of course, he studied photography and worked in a printing lab for seven years. It was during that time that he discovered the incredible world of fantasy fiction. Realising that producing other people’s holiday snaps probably wouldn’t bring him closer to that shiny tome and the accompanying sense of achievement, he rethought his game plan. He loved building worlds, creating fantastical characters, and dropping people on their heads. There was only one logical option: to become a pro wrestler. He strutted through over a decade of performing, breaking bones (usually his own) and expressing his creative side with the writing of storylines for shows. It gave him a sample of the accomplishment he craved, but it was a tough way to build a world he could fully realise. During those years, he wrote four chapters of a story. This was it! The Lore of Lazul was born. The country of Amavor, more precisely. He had finally found a goal to dedicate himself to that would allow him to tell stories the way he had always desired. So, having given up letting others break parts of him for the entertainment of a few dozen spectators, he turned his full attention to writing. Typing in between prolonged spells of procrastination involving retro video games, MMORPGs, rock music, walking, and learning new things (he makes a lovely crocheted hat), brings us to today approximately.
